In January 2017 LJMU commissioned the North West Ambulance Service (who appointed Green Urban) to conduct a buildings audit for the purpose of identifying the optimal location of AEDs (including public access AEDs) at University sites. LJMU have identified sixty eight locations for AEDs, nine of the AEDs is external and for public access, and fifty nine internal AEDs.
