598 - High Pressure Emulsifier

The inclusion of a high pressure emulsifier will greatly increase capability within the National Formulation Centre. The technique causes two liquid streams (which may or may not contain a solid phase) to come into contact under an impinging flow path. The liquid feed streams are delivered under high pressures through narrow channels and will therefore impact at extremely high velocities.
