The School of Health and Care Professions is looking to purchase 8 of PRE-HOSPITAL Manual External Defibrillators for use in our simulation facilities. Around 45% of the simulation run by allied health courses uses a defibrillator, primarily by paramedics for adult and paediatric advanced and intermediate life support. A defibrillator is used to administer an electric shock to the heart to restart it in the event of cardiac arrest.
